Christy Jones Kane
Co-Founder | Evaluator | Consultant
Growing up surrounded by educators, Christy developed a passion for ensuring all students have a quality learning experience. She pursued a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Washington where she explored options to apply the knowledge she gained from her experiences there. This led her to Northern Arizona University where she earned her Master’s in School Psychology. It was here where her interest in learning differences and behavioral functions grew. Returning to Washington, Christy worked as a School Psychologist serving a variety of populations across all ages. Her strongest area of interest continued to be ensuring all students receive quality instruction. Through her practices she discovered the best way to help students is to provide struggling students a soft and safe place to learn with implementation of strategies targeted to their specific learning needs. To further support this interest, Christy worked to obtain her educational program administration credentials and, after 7 years as a school psychologist working within public schools, transitioned to working as a special education administrator supporting school psychologists and special educators to assess, plan and implement services to meet the individual needs of students. She enjoys her role in creating safe learning environments where students can find a soft place to land. She continues to expand her knowledge of assessment and identification of learning disabilities as well as implementation of interventions designed to meet specific learning profiles. Christy lives in Kennewick with her fun loving husband, Scott, and her loving and spirited daughter.
